Time, Talent and Treasure

The Märchen Sagen Academy is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a one-of-a-kind jewel in Decatur.  Building up children in a left and right brain environment, kids learn the magic, art, and science of video and audio production and robotics.  Kids are also challenged and encouraged to understand and utilize their own innate ability to co-create their ideas in the world and not to compete for them.

All donations are tax-deductible and eligible for issuance of a Letter of Acknowledgement for IRS reporting.  Donations support our scholarship program for underserved youth and ongoing programing costs.

Scholarships

Our scholarship program supports underserved youth and families in need in the community.  Scholarships are evaluated on a case by case basis.  Please email couleen@marchensagen.org for more information on applying.

Community Partnerships

We are vey fortunate and appreciative of the support that we have received from our community sponsors, and were recently named a 2020 BE THE CHANGE partner with SEVANANDA Natural Foods Market.  Other partners include the Facebook Community Fund, YEAH! Burger, and The Richard C. Munroe Foundation, Inc.

                

 

We have partnered with Decatur Education Foundation to produce low to no-cost weekend workshops and camps in stop motion animation and song production.  The Märchen Sagen Academy was named a community partner of Decatur Education Foundation in 2018.
